First Line — Call Screening, Answered.

Call Screening, Answered.

First Line is a careful AI voice that answers unknown callers — for your parent, your child, or you — holds a real conversation to find out who’s calling and why, then connects legitimate callers and stops scammers before the phone ever rings.

For a parent, a child — or yourself Set up in about 5 minutes Nothing to install or learn Cancel anytime — the line never goes dark

The calls aren’t slowing down. Neither are the losses.

Scammers target older Americans deliberately — patient, practiced, and convincing. These are the FBI’s own reported numbers for 2024.

147,127

complaints reported to the FBI in 2024 from Americans aged 60 and over.

$4.885 billion

in reported losses from older victims in a single year.

+46%

increase in reported complaints from Americans 60+ compared with 2023.

+43%

increase in reported losses year over year.

23,000+

reported phishing and spoofing complaints involving older Americans.

~$1.8 billion

in reported investment-fraud losses among older victims alone.

Source: Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), 2024 reporting on fraud affecting older Americans. All figures are reported complaints and reported losses — the FBI notes that elder fraud is widely underreported, so the true totals are higher.

Protection that starts with one short setup

No new phone, no app to learn, no settings to manage — whether the line is for your parent, your child, or you. You set First Line up once — in about five minutes — and it keeps learning from there.

1

You set it up

Tell us who should always get through — family, doctors, the pharmacy — and how you’d like to be alerted. That’s the whole job, and it takes about five minutes.

About 5 minutes, once
2

First Line answers first

When an unknown number calls, our AI assistant picks up and has a brief, polite conversation: who’s calling, who they’re trying to reach, and what it’s about. People you’ve approved ring straight through, untouched.

Nothing to do after setup
3

The right calls get through

Legitimate callers are connected. Scammers are stopped before the phone rings. Either way, you get an alert with the transcript and the reason behind the decision — and First Line calibrates to your family over the life of your subscription.

You see every call, and why

If we’re ever unsure, the call goes through

Silence, an error, a timeout — any hiccup at all connects the call rather than blocking it. A missed call from a real person is worse than a screened call that turns out fine. We’d rather be careful than clever.

Nobody is trapped

You — or your parent — can stop screening at any time and calls immediately pass straight through, no questions and no delay. You can cancel just as easily — cancelling never leaves a line dark.

Protector, not profiter

Call transcripts belong to your family. They are never sold, never shared beyond the family member you name, and never used for anything but the protection itself.

What separates us from them

Most call protection works from a list. First Line works from a conversation.

First Line
  • Judgment, not just a list. A live conversational AI listens to what the caller actually says — and catches the brand-new number, the spoofed neighbor, and the story that doesn’t add up.
  • Nothing to manage. No app, no updates, no buttons, no new habits. It works with a simple phone — or a smartphone — whether the line is Mom’s, your child’s, or yours.
  • Fail-open, always. If anything is uncertain, the call connects. Real callers are never silently swallowed by a filter.
  • Alerts that explain themselves. Every alert carries the why — the spam-risk signals, the scam category, the transcript — so you can judge for yourself.
Typical call blockers
  • Static reputation blocklists. A number is guilty because a database says so — until scammers rotate to a fresh number, which takes them minutes.
  • An app on Mom’s phone. Something to install, update, keep charged, and not accidentally turn off — one more thing for her to manage.
  • Silent auto-blocking. Calls disappear without a trace. When the pharmacy’s new number gets filtered, nobody ever knows it called.
  • A label and nothing more. “Spam Likely” tells you a guess was made. It never tells you what was said, who it really was, or why it was flagged.

Everything you’d want to know, the moment it happens

Every feature below is yours to turn on or off. Defaults stay minimal — you see exactly what you ask to see, nothing more.

Alerts that tell you why

Each family alert includes the spam-risk context behind the decision — the signals that raised concern, in plain language, alongside the transcript. No bare “Spam Likely” labels.

Scam-category tags

Stopped calls are tagged by type — government impostor, investment pitch, phishing attempt, and more — in every transcript and in your periodic protection reports, so patterns are easy to spot.

Number & carrier lookup

Alerts include a reverse-number and carrier lookup, so you can see who a number belongs to and where it’s calling from — not just the digits that showed up.

Full screened-call history

Every screened call — connected or stopped — is kept in one searchable history with its transcript, so nothing that tried to reach you, your parent, or your child is ever a mystery.

Voicemail-to-text

If a screened caller leaves a message instead, it’s transcribed and sent to you as readable text — no dialing in, no codes to remember.

Quiet hours

Set the hours when unknown callers shouldn’t ring through at all. Approved contacts still get through exactly as always.

Your lists, by text message

Text CONNECT followed by a number to always let it through. Text BLOCK followed by a number to stop it for good. Two plain words, from your phone, done in seconds.

You choose what you see

Every alert and every optional feature sits behind your own checkboxes. Turn on only what you want; the defaults are deliberately minimal, and you can change your mind anytime.

One honest price. Everything included.

Every plan is the full First Line — the same live screening, the same judgment, the same care. No lite version, nothing held back. Pick the shape that fits your family; the prices below are the whole story.

First Line is new, and we won’t dress this page up with borrowed words. When our first families tell us what changed for them, their stories will live here — in their own words, with their permission.

Questions, answered plainly

Do I — or my parent — need a smartphone?
No. First Line works with the phone you already have — a simple flip phone, a landline-style handset, or a smartphone. There is no app for you or your parent to install, learn, or keep updated. You just answer the phone the way you always have; approved callers ring straight through.
Can I protect my child’s phone?
Yes — the same gate works for any phone. Strangers don’t get a straight line to your child: unknown callers state their business to the screening assistant first. Approved friends ring straight through; other legitimate callers may be connected after screening. It’s a natural fit for a child’s first phone — and the Household plan covers two lines, so a parent and child can be protected on one plan.
What does the caller hear?
Unknown callers are greeted by First Line’s AI assistant, which politely asks who’s calling and what the call is about. Callers are told they’re speaking with an AI screening assistant. If the caller is someone your family wants to hear from, they’re connected right away.
What happens if the AI isn’t sure?
The call is connected. First Line is built to fail open: silence, an unclear answer, an error, or a timeout all result in the call going through rather than being blocked. We would rather screen a call that turns out to be fine than ever block a real one by mistake.
Who sees the transcripts?
Only the family member you name. Transcripts belong to your family — they are never sold, never shared beyond that person, and never used for anything other than the protection itself.
Can we cancel? Can my parent opt out?
Yes, and yes. You can cancel anytime, with no contract and no cancellation process to fight through — and cancelling never leaves the line dark; calls simply pass straight through. Your parent can also stop screening themselves at any time, and screening stops immediately.
How long does setup take?
About five minutes, once. You tell us who should always get through and how you want to be alerted. After that, First Line keeps calibrating to your family’s real calling patterns over the life of the subscription — it gets better the longer it protects the line.
